What's new in ArcGIS Monitor

ArcGIS Monitor 2025.1 includes new features, enhancements, and other improvements.

  • Component relationship graphing allows GIS administrators to visualize how hardware and software components in a GIS deployment are related. This provides greater insight into how degraded performance and offline systems affect other parts of the GIS deployment, and helps administrators plan system maintenance windows and perform trace and root cause analysis.
  • In earlier releases of Monitor, incidents were configured using local time. In the 2025.1 release of Monitor, incidents are displayed in UTC. New incidents require a time zone selection for the incident's duration; the default is the user's local time zone.
  • Database Query is an optional, user-configured observer for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL database components. This observer can be configured to run an SQL query on a registered database and return a single numeric value.

With the introduction of this new observer, it is recommended that the user account used to register the database be granted only read permissions to prevent custom database queries from altering the database.
