Create issues using the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app

Use the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app to create issues for an ArcGIS GeoBIM app.

Note:

This feature requires the basic knowledge of ArcGIS Field Maps. If you need more information about configuring the ArcGIS Field Maps app in your device, visit the ArcGIS Field Maps help documentation.

Complete these steps to create issues in the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app:

  1. Open the ArcGIS Field Maps app on your mobile device.
  2. Select the map you created for the ArcGIS GeoBIM app.
  3. On the map, find the specific document that you want to attach issues to.
  4. Select the document and on the pop-up, find and click the issues field.
  5. Click Add add marker to add an issue to your document.

A cross-hair symbol appears on the map to place the issue point.

  6. Go to the map and find all the specific locations for the issues and click Add Point.

    Note:
Every time you add a new Type or Subtype into your issues in your Autodesk BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud projects, you need to enable ArcGIS Field Maps again for your map in ArcGIS GeoBIM. This step is required to capture the latest changes and keep the Autodesk Type domain list synchronized.

  7. Fill out information fields for the issue.
  8. Click the Submit button on the top right.
  9. Click the Close button to close the pop-up for the newly created issue so you can add new issues to the same document.
  10. Repeat steps 4-9 to add issues to another document.

You have now created issues for the ArcGIS Field Maps ArcGIS GeoBIM app.

You are now ready to upload ArcGIS Field Maps issues to Autodesk Construction Cloud or Autodesk BIM 360.
