What's new in ArcGIS for Excel—ArcGIS for Excel

The latest update of ArcGIS for Excel includes the quality enhancements and functionality described below.

Add new features to the attribute data tables of polygon and polyline feature layers, including drawing geometries on the map.
The following are new ArcGIS functions: GETCENTROID, RELATEGEOMETRIES, GETGEOMETRYDISTANCE, GETGEOMETRYLENGTH, GETPOLYGONAREA, and GENERALIZEGEOMETRY.
Support for polygons and polylines has been added. See the ArcGIS for Excel glossary for more information.
If you have permissions to save changes made to the properties of the layer, you can access the Save to ArcGIS button from Options .
