Data Axle
Esri made the following changes to the ArcGIS Places datasets for Canada and the United States sourced from data supplied by Data Axle:
- The release in June 2026 uses April 2026 data from Data Axle.
- The attributes SIC Code Description and All SIC Codes were removed. The Primary SIC attribute is available for use as a crosswalk to NAICS codes but may be phased out in a future release.
- Refinements were made to the Esri Category list.
- The following changes were made to Business Locations datasets:
- Canada Business Locations—982,233 records were published (compared to 993,864 records in the February 2026 dataset).
- United States Business Locations—13,298,028 records were published (compared to 13,330,945 records in the February 2026 dataset).
Foursquare
Esri made the following changes to Esri's global ArcGIS Places data sourced from Foursquare's Open Source Places content:
- The release in June 2026 uses September 2025 data from Foursquare.
- In the global dataset, 37,311,699 records were published (no change from the previous delivery).
- Refinements were made to the Esri Category list.

SafeGraph
Esri made the following changes to the to the ArcGIS Places datasets for Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United States sourced from data supplied by SafeGraph:
- The release in June 2026 uses March 2026 data from SafeGraph.
- SafeGraph provides the NAICS 2022 code and code description for POI records.
- Open Hours information is now available for businesses. Data includes the total open hours per day of the week and total open hours within a full week. Users can also see the opening and closing time for each day of the week in the Results Table.
- Refinements were made to the Esri Category list.
- For Canada, 1,171,424 records were published (compared to 1,170,263 records in the February 2026 dataset).
- For Puerto Rico, 104,216 records were published (compared to 125,444 records in the February 2026 dataset).
- For the United States, 17,943,189 records were published (compared to 18,341,527 records in the February 2026 dataset).
