Find and open a dashboard

After creating a dashboard, you can find, open, and delete it from the Dashboards home page.

Find a dashboard

You can access dashboards you create and that are shared with you from the Dashboards home page. You can also find a dashboard from your organization's content page in the same way you would search for any other item. See Browse and search content for details.

How you find a dashboard from the Dashboards home page depends on who the item was shared with and your organizational role, as follows:

  • If the dashboard was shared with your organization, you can find it on the Shared dashboards tab of the home page, which contains all dashboards shared with your organization. You can find a dashboard by searching by its title or sorting alphabetically or by time. By default, dashboards are sorted by time (Most Recent). To sort alphabetically, click Most Recent and choose A to Z or Z to A. You can also filter the list of dashboards by view type by clicking Filter by and choosing Mobile or Desktop only.
  • If the dashboard was shared with your group, on the Shared dashboards tab, click the All shared dashboards drop-down menu and choose your group name to see the dashboards only shared with your group.
  • If the dashboard was shared with everyone, and you are not a member of the author's organization, you can sign in to your organization and search for the dashboard. See Browse and search content for details.

Open a dashboard

Once you've found the dashboard, you can open it for viewing by clicking Open dashboard Open dashboard at the bottom of the card or by hovering over its thumbnail and clicking Open.

If you have created a mobile view for your dashboard, the optimal view automatically opens for your device.

Delete a dashboard

You can delete a dashboard you created with ArcGIS Dashboards by doing any of the following:

  • On the home page, click Delete dashboard Delete on the dashboard's card, and confirm that you want to delete the dashboard.
  • On the My Content tab in your organization, delete the dashboard item.

If you have created a mobile view for your dashboard, the mobile view is also deleted. You can delete only the mobile view of your dashboard by clicking the Delete view button Delete view in the View pane of the dashboard's mobile view.
