If you have access to a layer that references branch versioned data and was published with the version management capability enabled, you can add it to maps in Map Viewer and view any of its versions.
Note:
Map Viewer does not support accessing and viewing versions of layers that reference traditional versioned data.
To access a layer's versions in Map Viewer, complete the following steps:
- Confirm that you are signed in and, if you want to save your changes, that you have privileges to create, update, and delete content.
Note:
You can explore maps, add and configure layers, and more without signing in. To save your work, sign in before creating a map. - In Map Viewer,
open a web map containing the layer or add the layer to a new map.
The data in the default version is loaded on the map.
- On the Settings (light) toolbar, click Version management .
The version management window appears on the map.
Note:
If the map already contains other layers that access branch versioned data, a version management window for each layer will appear on the map.
- Click the drop-down menu in the version management window and choose from the available versions.
The data in the version you choose is loaded on the map.
