With a subscription to ArcGIS Online, organizations can manage all of their geographic content in a secure, cloud-based Esri environment. If you have the appropriate privileges, you can access information about your ArcGIS Online organization's credit usage from the Status dashboard tab of the organization page.
Tip:
You can also generate administrative reports to access additional details about resources and activities in your organization.
Use the dashboard
The status dashboard is organized into four tabs: Summary, Storage, Transactions, and Sessions. The information available on each tab in the status dashboard varies according to the section you are viewing. Many of the charts and tables include interactive drill-down and drill-through capabilities that reveal specific information as you interact with them. You can also use the page filters on each tab to narrow the information displayed. For example, on the Storage tab, you can choose to only see information about imagery items stored in your organization.
To use the status dashboard, complete the following steps:
- Verify that you are signed in to your organization.
Your account must be a member of the default administrator role or a custom role assigned the set of privileges to view subscription status reports.
- At the top of the site, click Organization, and click the Status dashboard tab.
- On the Summary tab of the dashboard, click any of the Details links in the Credits used section or interact with the charts to view detailed information on the Storage, Transactions, or Sessions tabs.
- Explore the information on the Summary, Storage, Transactions, and Sessions tabs as follows:
- From the drop-down list at the top, change the time range or specify a custom range as needed.
- Vew the charts and tables, and click the Download button above any of the tables to download and save the information as a .csv file.
- Filter the information displayed by interacting with the charts or using the page filters.
Summary
The Summary tab shows a snapshot of the organization's credit usage by storage, transactions, and sessions. It also includes sections showing credits used over time, items using the most storage credits, members using the most credits for transactions and sessions, and top credit-consuming API key developer credentials.
Tip:
You can view summary information about groups, members, and content on the Overview tab of the organization page.
Storage
The Storage tab has two views of storage credit usage: item storage and notebook storage.
Item storage
Choose Item storage to display credit usage for items stored in ArcGIS Online. Item storage is charged by the type and size of the item being stored. You can view storage credit usage for the following storage types:
- Feature—Shows the average amount of space and credits your organization is using to store hosted feature layers. Feature storage includes database storage for features and file storage for attachments; use the provided filters to view each of these categories.
Tip:
To store existing attachments as files, republish the hosted feature layers. To see the specific storage credit usage for all hosted feature layers in the organization, set the Storage type filter to Feature > Database. The Items using the most storage credits table will update to show only hosted feature layers and the credits used for each.
- Imagery—Shows the average amount of space and credits your organization is using to store hosted imagery layers, as well as the number of images. Imagery storage information includes dynamic imagery and tiled imagery; use the File Dynamic and File Tiled filters to view each of these categories.
- File—Shows the average amount of space and credits your organization is using to store files.
- Tile—Shows the average amount of space and credits your organization is using to store hosted tile layers.
- Scene—Shows the average amount of space and credits your organization is using to store hosted scene layers.
- Vector Tile—Shows the average amount of space and credits your organization is using to store hosted vector tiles.
The Item storage view also shows credits used over time, items using the most storage credits, and members using the most storage credits.
Notebook storage
When you choose the Notebook storage view, you can see the total number of credits used for notebook storage in your organization, as well as members using the most notebook storage credits. Notebook storage credits are calculated per member for the content in their Notebooks workspace. The compute credit usage of notebooks is displayed on the Sessions tab.
Transactions
The Transactions tab displays the organization's credit use for transactions. It includes total transaction credits used, credits used by transaction type, transaction credits used over time, transaction types using the most credits, and members using the most transaction credits.
Transaction-based tools charge credits based on the number of records and the generated output. They include analysis and subscriber content such as spatial analysis, geocoding, and demographic maps. You can view transaction credit usage for the following transaction types:
- Demographic maps—Shows credits used for accessing ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World demographic maps published by Esri.
- Feature reports—Shows credits used for printing features in ArcGIS Survey123 feature reports.
- Geocoding—Shows credits used for locations matched in hosted feature layers. Unmatched addresses do not count toward geocoding credit usage.
- GeoEnrichment—Shows credits used for accessing and using ArcGIS GeoEnrichment Service services.
- Imagery Analysis—Shows credits used by users and apps in your organization for imagery analysis tasks .
- Network Analysis—Shows credits used for routing and drive-time tools.
- Spatial Analysis—Shows credits used by users and apps in your organization for spatial analysis tasks.
- Tile generation—Shows credits used for creating hosted layers using map image files or tiles.
Tip:
Turn on the toggle button in the Page filters section to only show transactions made through developer credentials. You can then use the Billing filters to show credits billed to a member or directly to the organization.
Sessions
The Sessions tab displays the organization's credit use by sessions. It includes total session credits used, credits used by session type, session credits used over time, session types using the most credits, and members using the most session credits.
Session credit usage is based on the duration you are connected to an analysis session that is providing a compute resource. You can view session credit usage for the following session types:
- Analysis Model Web Tools—Shows organization credits used while using web tools.
- Interactive Analysis Models—Shows organization credits used during analysis sessions.
- Interactive Data Pipelines—Shows organization credits used during ArcGIS Data Pipelines sessions.
- Interactive Notebooks—Shows organization credits used during ArcGIS Notebooks sessions using the Standard, Advanced, or Advanced with GPU runtime.
- Notebook Web Tools—Shows organization credits used during Notebook Web Tool sessions, using the Standard, Advanced, or Advanced with GPU runtime.
- Scheduled Data Pipelines—Shows organization credits used when running scheduled jobs in ArcGIS Data Pipelines. Each job is charged per minute for the time it takes to complete the run.
- Scheduled Notebooks—Shows the number of organization credits used when running scheduled ArcGIS Notebooks, using either Standard, Advanced, or Advanced with GPU runtime.
Your subscription
ArcGIS Online is based on an annual subscription that offers a set of plans from which you can choose. Each plan includes a number of members and credits. Credits are the currency for ArcGIS Online and are consumed when using certain functions, such as spatial analysis, routing, or geocoding. How you use ArcGIS Online determines the number of credits you consume. For help estimating the number of credits needed to perform specific transactions or store data, see the Credits by capability table.
The remaining number of credits and members is based on the subscription your organization has purchased. Additional members and service credits are available as add-on features of any subscription plan. If you are in the United States, you can add members and credits by upgrading your subscription online, by calling +1-800-447-9778, or by contacting your local Esri office. If you are outside the United States, contact your local Esri office.
If your subscription has expired, you can renew it by contacting your local Esri office. Organization administrators will have limited access to the organization and its resources until the subscription is renewed. Any content previously shared to the public is still available. Organization administrators can delete it but cannot edit the details or change the sharing status.
Tip:
You can quickly see your subscription ID, system health information, subscription renewal date, Feature Data Store information, regional data hosting location, and other information about your subscription on the Overview tab of the organization page.
