Survey123 Studio and Survey123 Mobile are successor apps to Survey123 Connect and the Survey123 field app.
The next generation apps do not have all the functionality of Survey123 Connect and the Survey123 field app. Functionality has been prioritized in order of the most important elements of the apps, but there will inevitably be some features that you use that are not there.
The tables below list the status of functionality of Survey123 Studio and Survey123 Mobile with respect to features available in Survey123 Connect and the Survey123 field app.
Survey123 Studio and Survey123 Mobile do have new features (for example, tabular repeats and a big-button data capture experience with the support of ArcGIS QuickCapture projects) that are documented throughout the website. For the latest additions, see What's new in Survey123.
The information in this topic is grouped by app features so you can quickly scan what's available, what's in development, and what's planned or not planned.
The following statuses are used in the tables below:
- Available—Functionality is available for use now. Some limitations may apply, but they are described in the specific documentation
- In development—Work is in progress on the functionality, and it will be available in the next release or two.
- Planned—Work on the functionality is not in progress, but it is planned for a future release.
- Not planned—The functionality is not planned for inclusion in Survey123 Studio or Survey123 Mobile. It may be superseded by newer behavior or technology, or is no longer applicable.
Note:
The Survey123 field app beta features (for example, add-ins and compass) are not supported and are not planned for future releases of Survey123 Mobile.

If your surveys rely on any of the questions or behaviors listed below as Planned, continuing to use the Survey123 field app may be the best solution to address your needs at this time.
However, you are encouraged to make a copy of your survey in Survey123 Studio to test it. If it works as you expect, you can publish it and use it in Survey123 Mobile. Before publishing, you can also modify the survey.
