The April 2026 update to ArcGIS for SharePoint includes the new functionality and enhancements described below.
New functionality
- New features can now be created and stored in a new or existing SharePoint list.
- You can now create features in the Edit in map view pane.
- Users can now select features by attribute using query expressions.
Enhancements
- New symbol types have been added.
- Custom basemaps are now supported when geotagging by coordinates and geosearching.
- Edit locations has been renamed to Edit in map view. The Select location tool in the Edit in map view tool has been renamed to Configure data.
- Site administrators can now use the SharePoint Document ID service to identify when documents have been moved across sites. This informs users who are syncing URLs while in the geotagging workflow that they have documents that have been moved.
