Working with plan information

Each plan contains a Plan Information dialog box that allows you to provide information about the content, quality, condition, and origin of the plan. This information can be viewed by yourself or other users with whom you have shared the plan.

By default, the plan name and created by fields are automatically populated in the plan information. However, you can also modify the following fields:

  • Plan name
  • Description
  • Organization
  • State
  • Year
  • Analysis

In this topic, you will learn how to do the following tasks:

Viewing plan metadata

You can view plan information for plans that you own, or for plans that have been shared to you. Plan information allows you to view information about the integrity, currency, and source of the plan.

  1. On the Share ribbon, click Information.

The Plan Information dialog box appears.

Updating plan metadata

Each plan contains information. At a minimum, when a plan is created, the plan name and creator are stored in the plan information. However, you can add and update additional information to keep the information current.

  1. On the Share ribbon, click Information.

The Plan Information dialog box appears.

  2. Update the desired fields.

If you update the Plan name field, the name of the saved plan will also change.

    Note:

The Created by field is automatically populated with the user name of the person who created the plan. This field cannot be modified.

  3. Click Save to save your changes.
