Drawing a line

Esri Redistricting supports markup capabilities on district maps. Markup allows you to add annotations to the map to help you visualize key areas, or text as you develop a redistricting plan.

1. On the Review ribbon, click Draw Line .
2. Click to place the start point of the line on the map.

   Each click of the mouse places a vertex of the line on the map.

3. Double-click to end the line.

Once you have digitized a markup feature, you can apply customized attributes, such as changing the line color, transparency, or thickness. For more information on how to customize markup features, see Modifying redlining attributes.
