Show the layer legend

Note:

Standard users can perform all functions of this workflow; you do not need to sign in to an ArcGIS account.

You can show the layer legend on an ArcGIS for Microsoft 365 map.

To display the legend for a specific layer, complete the following steps:

1. From the map tools, click the Layers button .

   The Layers list appears on the map. All layers are collapsed by default, hiding the legends.

2. In the Layers list, click the Expand button on the layer you want to view.

   The layer legend appears, showing the styling applied to the selected layer. If the features in the layer are styled by group or category, the legend shows the styling of each one.

3. Click the Expand button again to hide the legend.
