Manage analysis views

You can view and manage analysis views on the Analysis page.

View analysis views

To view an analysis view, complete the following steps:

  1. Access ArcGIS Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Analysis.

    The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

  3. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click a category on the side of the page to filter the list by that category.
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Type a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box to search for specific analysis views.
  4. Click the name of the analysis view that you want to view.

    The analysis view's Overview page appears.

  5. Optionally, click the Filter by date drop-down arrow, choose a predefined time range or use the date picker to define a custom time range, and click Apply to constrain date filtering enabled data to the chosen time range.
  6. Optionally, click a header in the analysis view to collapse or expand its contents.
  7. If Show related alerts is enabled for charts in the analysis view, hover over a data series point or over an item in the chart's legend to show its alert ranges and the duration of its alerts.

    The color of the alert ranges and duration match the color of the alert status indicators.

  8. Optionally, click an item in a chart's legend to hide a data series or to show a data series that was hidden.

Edit analysis view details

You can edit the name and description of an analysis view on its Settings page. You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to edit analysis views.

To edit an analysis view's name and description, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Analysis.

    The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

  3. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click a category on the side of the page to filter the list by that category.
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Type a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box to search for specific analysis views.
  4. Click More options More options for the analysis view that you want to edit and click Edit in settings.

    The analysis view's Settings page appears.

  5. On the Settings page, in the Analysis details section, click Edit.

    The Analysis details dialog box appears.

  6. Edit the name and description of the analysis view in the Name and Description text boxes as necessary .
  7. Click Save.

    The analysis view's name and description are updated.

Edit analysis view elements and layout

You can add, update, and delete elements and update the layout of an analysis view on the Overview page. You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to edit analysis view elements and layouts.

To edit an analysis view, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Analysis.

    The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

  3. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click a category on the side of the page to filter the list by that category.
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Type a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box to search for specific analysis views.
  4. Click the name of the analysis view that you want to edit.

    The analysis view's Overview page appears.

  5. Click Edit.

    The analysis view's Overview page changes to edit mode.

  6. Add, update, and delete elements and update the layout of the analysis view as necessary.
  7. Click Save.
    Tip:

    You can also click the Save drop-down arrow and click Save as to save the analysis view with a new name and description.

Create a copy of an analysis view

You can create a copy of an analysis view and use it as a starting point for similar types of views. You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to create a copy of an analysis view.

To create a copy of an analysis view, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Analysis.

    The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

  3. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click a category on the side of the page to filter the list by that category.
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Type a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box to search for specific analysis views.
  4. Click More options More options for the analysis view that you want to copy and click Copy analysis.

    The Copy analysis dialog box appears.

  5. Click New analysis.
  6. Provide a name for the view in the Name text box.
  7. Optionally, provide a description for the view in the Description text box.
  8. Click Create analysis.

    The analysis view is created and appears on the Overview page.

Copy an analysis view to an existing analysis view

You can copy an analysis view to an existing analysis view to combine individual views into a single view. You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to copy an analysis view to an existing analysis view.

To copy an analysis view to an existing analysis view, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Analysis.

    The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

  3. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click a category on the side of the page to filter the list by that category.
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Type a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box to search for specific analysis views.
  4. Click More options More options for the analysis view that you want to copy and click Copy analysis.

    The Copy analysis dialog box appears.

  5. Click the name of the analysis view to which you want to copy the analysis view elements.
  6. Click Confirm.

    The analysis view elements are added to the chosen analysis view.

Add analysis views to your favorites

You can add analysis views that you want to closely monitor to your favorites and access them using the Favorites category filter on the Analysis page.

To add an analysis view to your favorites, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click the Analysis tab.

    The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

  3. Optionally, do any or all of the following:
    • Click a category on the side of the page to filter the list by that category.
    • Click Sort and change the sorting method.
    • Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
    • Type a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box to search for specific analysis views.
  4. Click Add to favorites Add to favorites next to the analysis view you want to add to your favorites list.
    Tip:

    To remove an analysis view from your favorites list, click Remove from favorites Remove from favorites next to the analysis view.

Delete analysis views

You can delete analysis views from the Analysis page. You must be assigned the Administrator or Manager role to delete analysis views. If you are assigned the Manager role, you can delete only the analysis views that you created.

To delete an analysis view, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Monitor if necessary.

    The Home page appears.

  2. Click Analysis.

    The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

  3. Click More options More options for the analysis view that you want to delete and click Delete.

    A confirmation dialog box appears.

    Note:

    If the analysis view that you want to delete is set as the system default, the Delete button isn't available. You must set another view as the system default before you can delete the analysis view.

    Caution:

    Deleting an analysis view is permanent and can't be undone.

  4. Click Delete to delete the analysis view.

    The analysis view and all of its related elements are deleted.
