You can choose up to 10 components of the same type or individual metrics that share the same unit of measure for comparison and view an overview of the metrics to identify patterns and outliers.
Compare metric data between components
To compare metric data between components, complete the following steps:
- Access Monitor if necessary.
The Home page appears.
- Click Monitoring.
The Monitoring page appears with registered components listed alphabetically by name.
- Optionally, do any or all of the following:
- Click a category on the side of the page to filter the list by that category.
- Click Sort and change the sorting method.
- Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
- Click Columns and specify the columns to hide or show.
- Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
- Click Labels to filter the list by the labels that you choose.
- Type a keyword in the Search by component name or address text box to search for specific components.
- Check the check box next to the names of the components that contain the metrics to compare.
- Click Compare metrics.
The Compare metrics between components page appears with charts that contain an overview of metrics for the chosen components.
Note:
If more than 10 components are chosen, Compare metrics is unavailable.
- Optionally, click the Filter by date drop-down arrow, choose a predefined time range or use the date picker to define a custom time range, and click Apply to constrain the metric data to the specified time range.
- Optionally, click Copy to an analysis to add the charts to an existing analysis view.
Compare data for individual metrics
To compare data for individual metrics that share the same unit of measure, complete the following steps:
- Access Monitor if necessary.
The Home page appears.
- Click Monitoring.
The Monitoring page appears with registered components listed alphabetically by name.
- Click the Metrics tab.
The Metrics page appears with a list of all metrics sorted by name.
- Optionally, do any or all of the following:
- Click Sort and change the sorting method.
- Click Filter and create a query to filter the list.
- Click Columns and specify the columns to hide or show.
- Position the pointer at the edge of a column's header and drag the column's edge to resize it.
- Click Labels to filter the list by the labels that you choose.
- Type a keyword in the Search by metric name or component name text box to search for specific metrics.
- Check the check box next to the names of up to 10 metrics that you want to compare.
The chosen metrics must share the same unit of measure.
Tip:
You can also view metrics associated with collections and ArcGIS Monitor Agent machines and select them for comparison.
- Click Compare metrics.
The Compare metrics page appears with charts that contain an overview of the chosen metrics.
Note:
If more than 10 metrics are chosen or the chosen metrics don't share the same unit of measure, Compare metrics is unavailable
- Optionally, click the Filter by date drop-down arrow, choose a predefined time range or use the date picker to define a custom time range, and click Apply to constrain the metric data to the specified time range.
