You can view and manage analysis views from the Analysis page.
View analysis views
To view an analysis view, complete these steps:
- Access ArcGIS Monitor, if necessary.
The Home page appears.
- Click Analysis.
The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.
Tip:
Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query to filter the list, and click the categories at the side of the page to filter the list by the chosen category. You can also search for specific analysis views by typing a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box.
- Click the name of the analysis view that you want to view.
The analysis view's Overview page appears.
Edit analysis view details
You can change the name and description of an analysis view from its Settings page. Complete the following steps to change an analysis view's name and description:
- Access Monitor, if necessary.
The Home page appears.
- Click Analysis.
The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.
Tip:
Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query to filter the list, and click the categories at the side of the page to filter the list by the chosen category. You can also search for specific analysis views by typing a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box.
- Click the name of the analysis view that you want to edit.
The analysis view's Overview page appears.
- Click the Settings tab.
The analysis view's Settings page appears.
- Click Edit next to Name on the Settings page.
A dialog box with the name and description of the analysis view appears.
- Update the name and description of the view in the Name and Description text boxes as necessary .
- Click Save.
The view's name and description are updated.
Edit analysis view elements and layout
You can add, update, and delete elements and update the layout of an analysis view from its Overview page. To update an analysis view, complete these steps:
- Access Monitor, if necessary.
The Home page appears.
- Click Analysis.
The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query to filter the list, and click the categories at the side of the page to filter the list by the chosen category. You can also search for specific analysis views by typing a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box.
- Click the name of the analysis view that you want to edit.
The analysis view's Overview page appears.
- Click Edit.
The analysis view's Overview page changes to edit mode.
- Add, update, and delete elements and update the layout of the view as necessary.
- Click Save.
Tip:
You can also click the Save drop-down arrow and click Save As to save the analysis view with a new name and description.
Duplicate analysis views
You can duplicate an analysis view that was created by another user and customize it for your own needs. To duplicate an analysis view, complete these steps:
- Access Monitor, if necessary.
The Home page appears.
- Click Analysis.
The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query to filter the list, and click the categories at the side of the page to filter the list by the chosen category. You can also search for specific analysis views by typing a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box.
- Click the name of the analysis view that you want to duplicate.
The analysis view's Overview page appears.
- Click Duplicate.
The New Analysis dialog box appears.
- Provide a name for the view in the Name text box.
- Optionally, provide a description for the view in the Description text box.
- Click Save.
The analysis view is duplicated, and its Overview page appears.
Add an analysis view to your favorites
You can add analysis views that you want to closely monitor to your list of favorite items and instantly access them from the My Favorites page. To add an analysis view to your favorites, complete these steps:
- Access Monitor, if necessary.
- Click the Analysis tab.
The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query to filter the list, and click the categories at the side of the page to filter the list by the chosen category. You can also search for specific analysis views by typing a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box.
- Click Add to Favorites for an analysis view to add it to your favorites list.
Tip:
To remove an analysis view from your favorites list, click Remove from Favorites .
Delete analysis views
You can delete an analysis view that you created from its Settings page. You must be assigned the Administrator role to delete another user's analysis view. To delete an analysis view, complete these steps:
- Access Monitor, if necessary.
The Home page appears.
- Click Analysis.
The Analysis page appears with a list of analysis views.

Click Sort to change the sorting method, click Filter to create a query to filter the list, and click the categories at the side of the page to filter the list by the chosen category. You can also search for specific analysis views by typing a keyword in the Search by analysis name or description text box.
- Click More options for the analysis view that you want to delete and click Delete.
A confirmation dialog box appears.
Note:
If the analysis view that you want to delete is set as the system default, the Delete button isn't available. You'll need to set another view as the system default before you can delete the analysis view.
Caution:
Deleting an analysis view is permanent and can't be undone.
- Click Delete to delete the analysis view.
The analysis view and all of its related elements and data expressions are deleted.
