Chatting is the main method of communication in ArcGIS Mission. The chat tool allows you to send text-only messages to other mission members. Recipients are specified from the lists of mission members or mission teams. Chat messages are sent immediately or, if the intended recipient cannot receive messages at the moment, are stored and sent when the user is online again.
The chat tools in both ArcGIS Mission Manager and ArcGIS Mission Responder have the same functionality, but the processes for sending a chat are slightly different.
Currently, the chat tool does not have a Send to All Mission Members option. It is recommended that you create a Mission Team containing all mission members so that they can broadcast a chat, if necessary.
