Settlement Points: | These settlement points were created using 2023 OpenStreetMap (OSM) Building Footprints, Microsoft Global ML Building Footprints and the European Commission Global Human Settlement Layer (GHSL). More information about the data can be found here: https://www.openstreetmap.org, https://github.com/microsoft/GlobalMLBuildingFootprints, https://ghslsys.jrc.ec.europa.eu. The buildings were constrained to include only residential housing units. The buildings were verified and improved upon using the latest Esri imagery and HERE (EsriStreet Map Premium Layers (LandArea, BuiltUpArea)). When necessary, household values were distributed evenly onto multiunit residential buildings using a top-down approach with the Michael Bauer Research household values from the lowest level geographies. |
