ArcGIS Data Appliance: Open Vector Basemaps is published as a hosted vector tile service from your ArcGIS Enterprise portal along with 13 map styles that you can share, use, and customize within your organization. For more information on vector basemaps and the differences between raster and vector tile layers, see Tile layers in the Portal for ArcGIS help.
Open Vector Basemaps WMA or GCS only requires one service published as a hosted vector tile layer from your portal. Other maps are included as map styles that you publish to your portal as tile layers. See Directory of Open Vector Basemaps map styles for the vector tile layers included with Open Vector Basemaps.
The Open Vector Basemaps maps provided in ArcGIS Data Appliance are intended for use with Esri software. Redistribution rights are granted by Esri and the data vendor for hard-copy renditions or static, electronic map images (for example, .gif and .jpeg) that are plotted, printed, or publicly displayed with proper metadata and source or copyright attribution to the respective data vendor or vendors. ArcGIS Data Appliance: OpenStreetMap Vector Basemaps is in Mature Support in ArcGIS Data Appliance 2025. For ArcGIS Data Appliance 2026, OSM Vector Basemaps is replaced with Open Vector Basemaps, which includes open data from Overture Map Foundation, OpenStreetMap, and other open data sources. No. Map Viewer Classic is deprecated. In ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1 and 11.3, to use Open Vector Basemaps, you must set your primary map viewer to Map Viewer. The default in both versions is Map Viewer Classic. In ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5, Map Viewer is the default map viewer.
