Note:

When you delete a service from ArcGIS Server, any client application using the service can no longer access it.

  1. Sign in to ArcGIS Server using the ArcGIS Data Appliance data account with administrator privileges.
  2. Start Server Manager and sign in using your Primary Site Administrator account.
  3. Click Services > Manage Services.
  4. Locate each ArcGIS Data Appliance 7.2 service in the Services module to select the services to stop using the Stop button Stop.
  5. Locate each ArcGIS Data Appliance 7.2 service in the Services module and click the Delete button Delete to the right of the listed service name. When prompted Are you sure you want to delete the service, click Yes.

The service is deleted from your ArcGIS Server site. Delete all ArcGIS Data Appliance 7.2 services.

  6. After all the services are deleted, reboot the machine where ArcGIS Server is installed.

Now you can disconnect the earlier data appliance and connect the new appliance. For details on how to proceed with this process, see the quick-start guide customized for your configuration included in the box with ArcGIS Data Appliance. You can also view the quick-start guides online.
