Plans and Drawings can be used to index the geographic extent of record plans and drawings and provide access to a catalog of source documents in the office or the field.
Design drawings, construction plans, as-builts, and other source documents are used daily by engineers and operations staff to make infrastructure improvements. These documents often exist in multiple document management systems, shared drives, or physical file cabinets, making it difficult and time-consuming for staff to access relevant information. Indexing these documents by their geographic extent makes it easier to discover relevant information, improves coordination between teams, and supports more efficient decision making.
