Plans and Drawings can be used to index the geographic extent of record plans and drawings and provide access to a catalog of source documents in the office or the field.
Design drawings, construction plans, as-builts, and other source documents contain vital information that is used daily by engineers and field staff to make infrastructure improvements. Many times, these drawings have been automated and are cataloged in a document management system, but some drawings may only exist in hardcopy format and be stored in an office file cabinet. And while each of these record drawings may represent a given geography, understanding the extent of the record drawing and whether it contains the information you are looking for can be quite time consuming. Plans and Drawings is typically implemented by public works agencies and utilities that want to simplify access to record drawings and ensure that engineers and field staff understand what drawings exist at a given location.
The Plans and Drawings solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you index record drawings, associate a geographic extent with each drawing, and provide access to a catalog of plans and drawings in the office or the field.
