Use Dam Safety

The Dam Safety solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you routinely inspect dams, manage fieldwork assignments, and monitor inspection programs.

In this topic, you will learn how to use the solution by assuming the role of a user and performing the following workflows.

Note:
Use your organization's data or configured apps to follow these workflows.

Prepare dam inspections

You will start by assuming the role of a dam safety staff member responsible for coordinating dam safety field operations. You are asked to use the Dam Safety ArcGIS Pro project to setup your organization’s dam safety field operations. Follow the defined tasks to add inspectors, inventory dam information, and assign dam sites to mobile workers.

To open the ArcGIS Pro project tasks, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your ArcGIS organization and browse to the Dam Safety item.
  2. From the item page, click Download.
  3. Unzip the downloaded folder, and then from the unzipped folder, open the ArcGIS Pro project.
  4. If you do not see the Catalog pane, from the View tab, in the Windows group, click Catalog Pane.
  5. Expand the Tasks folder, and then double-click the Dam Safety task group.
  6. In the Tasks pane, review the task included in the How to Use Dam Safety task group.
