The ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma extension allows for enhanced geospatial analysis and design capabilities. Add the ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma extension into Autodesk Forma sites
The ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma extension card is available in the Extensions sidebar within Autodesk Forma.
Follow these steps to add the extension card to your Autodesk Forma site:
- Click the
Extensions button
in the Autodesk Forma site.The Extensions sidebar appears.
- Click the
Add extension button in the Extensions sidebar.The Autodesk App Store opens to display all available extensions in Autodesk Forma.
- Find the ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma extension in the Autodesk App Store. Click the Add button on the extension card.
- Click the Agree button to allow access to add the extension.
The ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma extension is added to the Extensions sidebar.
Access the ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma extension
ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma supports a native sign in experience for ArcGIS Online users. If you are using ArcGIS Enterprise, you will need to complete some additional steps to configure the ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma extension for your account.

Sign in to your ArcGIS account
Follow these steps to sign in to your ArcGIS account in ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma:
- Click ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma in the Extensions sidebar .
The extension opens.
- Click the Sign in button.
The ArcGIS sign in window appears.
- Enter your ArcGIS account username and password.
- Click Sign in
You have given ArcGIS for Autodesk Forma access to your ArcGIS account and you can start adding GIS layers to the Forma site.
- Optionally, click your profile in the extension and click Sign out to sign out of your ArcGIS account.
Signing out of your ArcGIS account removes all view-only ArcGIS layers from your Autodesk Forma site.
