Replaces POINT entities with designated block INSERT entities. Invoke the tool by entering the command name at the AutoCAD command prompt. You will be prompted to select point entities. All non-point entities will be ignored. You will then be prompted for the name of an existing AutoCAD block INSERT to replace the selected POINT entities.
Usage:
Only selected POINT entities will be replaced all other selected entities will be ignored.
If the POINT entity also belongs to a feature layer, any field names that match a block attribute TAGNAME will automatically be populated with the field value and be linked to the feature attributed field value.
Usage example:
Command: ESRI_POINTTOBLOCK
ESRI_POINTTOBLOCK Select Entities: (use the AutoCAD selection methods to select entities)
Select block name [<indexed- block name list>]: (Enter the index number of the desired block.)
