Modify symbols on the map

You can modify military symbols for existing features in a map using Military Overlay. For example, you can change the symbols if a mobility amplifier needs to be added to an equipment symbol, or change the Unique Designation text modifier for an Area of Operations symbol. As changes are made, the symbol preview shows what the updated symbol looks like. When you're finished with the changes in the preview, apply the changes to the feature on the map and save the edits.

To modify symbols on a map using Military Overlay open, complete the following steps:

1. Select the feature to modify on the map.

   The current symbol appears in the Military Overlay preview.

2. Click the Symbol tab and make changes to the graphic modifiers.

   The preview updates with the changes.

3. Click Labels and make changes to the text modifiers.

   The preview updates with the changes.

4. Click Apply Edits.
5. On the Mapview toolbar, click Save All Edits.

   Alternatively, on the ribbon, in the Manage Edits group, click Save All Edits .
