To add an infographics card to a map, complete the following steps:

  1. From the map tools, click Analysis Analysis.

    The analysis tools appear.

  2. Click the Infographics button Infographics cards.

The  Infographics cards pane appears. This  pane shows available data categories, such as Population and Income. Categories for the United States are listed by default. The availability of other categories depends on the country selected.

  3. Optionally, add variables to an infographics card by doing any of the following:
    • Select a country from the Country drop-down menu.
    • Click a data category, such as Population or Income, to view the data collections in that category.

Expand a data collection to view the variables in that collection.

    • Type one or more keywords in the  Search  text box. A list of data collections that match the keywords appears.
    • Click a data category to filter the list of data collections.

The All variables option appears. You can filter the collections by the All variables or Popular variables options or by variables in the selected data category.

  4. Check a variable's check box to add it to the map as an infographics card.

The infographics card is added to the map. Each variable from different data collections appears on a separate infographics card; however, if you add multiple variables from the same data collection, they are grouped on a single card. For example, if you add multiple variables from the 2022 Key Demographic Indicators (Esri) data collection, all variables appear on the same card.

    Tip:

Some data values may appear null in infographics cards if there are not enough data points to sample in a region. For example, averaged values, such as average spending on household supplies, are divided by total relevant regional population. When there are few applicable households, the resulting data may appear null.

Cards are arranged in the order in which you add them. Drag the cards up or down to rearrange them in their vertical stack.

  5. Click the Close button Close on a card to remove it from the map.
  6. When you finish adding cards, click Close Close to close the Infographics cards pane, or click the Settings button to change the default settings for the infographics cards.
