Available with Workflow Manager license.
The 12.0 release of ArcGIS Workflow Manager includes the following new features and enhanced functionality:
Administration
- Direct upgrades from 10.9.X or earlier to 12.0 are not supported. Upgrade ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server to an interim version and upgrade workflow items to 11.X before upgrading to 12.0.
- All workflow item feature services must be shared to enable access to workflow items with an item version of 25.2.0.0 or later.
- Authorize Workflow Manager to automatically resume jobs on behalf of another user when a dependency is released.

This functionality requires a license for the ArcGIS Workflow Manager Server Advanced role.
ArcGIS Arcade expressions
- $workflowItem is a new ArcGIS Arcade variable that allows you to retrieve the item ID of the current workflow item.
Functionality
- Export a mapping file with your workflow item configuration to associate portal items that are used by Workflow Manager before importing the workflow item configuration.
- Use the Fit to Window
tool to view the full extent of a workflow diagram in the workflow canvas. - Group thumbnails appear on job tiles.
Step templates
- Use the Select Features tool to select multiple features or deselect features when defining the location of a job.
- Review the request body and headers when testing a web request with the Web Request step and Web Request template.
