Manage status types

Status types describe the possible states or stages that a job moves through when it's running. You can add custom status types to match your existing business processes or to make them more appropriate for your locale.

Create status types

To create status types, do the following:

  1. Access the Workflow Manager web app.
  2. Click the Design tab.

    The Design page appears.

    Note:

    If you don't have sufficient privileges, the Design tab is not available.

  3. Click Templates Templates.
    Note:

    If you don’t have sufficient privileges, the Templates button is not available.

  4. Click the Lookup Tables tab.

    The Lookup Tables panel appears.

  5. Click Status Types in the Lookup Tables panel.

    A list of status types appears.

  6. Click Add Status Type.
  7. Provide a name for the status type in the Name text box.
  8. Optionally, repeat steps 6 and 7 to add more status types.
  9. Click Save to save the status types.

Edit status types

To edit status types, do the following:

  1. Access the Workflow Manager web app.
  2. Click the Design tab.

    The Design page appears.

    Note:

    If you don't have sufficient privileges, the Design tab is not available.

  3. Click Templates Templates.
    Note:

    If you don’t have sufficient privileges, the Templates button is not available.

  4. Click the Lookup Tables tab.

    The Lookup Tables panel appears.

  5. Click Status Types in the Lookup Tables panel.

    A list of status types appears.

  6. Update the status type names in the Name text boxes as necessary.
    Note:

    You can only update custom status types and can't change the name of the workflow item's default status types.

  7. Click Save to save the changes.

Delete status types

Deleting a status type is permanent and can’t be undone. To delete status types, do the following:

  1. Access the Workflow Manager web app.
  2. Click the Design tab.

    The Design page appears.

    Note:

    If you don't have sufficient privileges, the Design tab is not available.

  3. Click Templates Templates.
    Note:

    If you don’t have sufficient privileges, the Templates button is not available.

  4. Click the Lookup Tables tab.

    The Lookup Tables panel appears.

  5. Click Status Types in the Lookup Tables panel.

    A list of status types appears.

  6. Click the Delete button next to the status type that you want to delete.
  7. Click Save to save the changes.
