Before you can access the Survey123 assistant (preview), confirm the following requirements:
- Your ArcGIS Online administrator must configure assistants.
- You must have the privilege to use AI assistants.
- It must be enabled in the Survey123 website (go to Organization > Settings > Extensions).
Note:
Image questions in surveys published with Survey123 Connect can also be configured to perform image classification, object detection, and object redaction in the field app. These capabilities rely on machine learning models that are located on the device, do not use online generative AI services, and are not configured by your ArcGIS Online administrator. For more information, see Smart assistants.
Credits
Using the Survey123 assistant (preview) does not consume credits.
Feedback
To provide feedback about a specific response, click the Positive feedback
or Negative feedback
button, and complete the survey. The feedback may be used to guide additional development of the assistant.
Security and privacy
All assistants in Survey123 align with the following principles:
- Prompts are not used to train Esri or third-party AI models.
- Prompts are not used to improve any Esri or third-party product or service.
- Prompts are not stored or shared.
- Prompts are not used to improve the assistants for your own use.
AI transparency cards are available with more security and privacy details.
Limitations
Suggestions generated using AI can be misleading or inaccurate. To avoid potentially reinforcing any unintentional biases in the AI models used by the Survey123 assistant (preview), human judgment should be applied to interpreting and acting on the assistant's outputs.
