In Survey123 Studio, you can preview a form before you publish it. With the form opened (click Form if necessary), you can test the survey design in the form preview.
You can update the form preview in the following ways:
- Save the changes in the spreadsheet.
- Click the Update button in Survey123 Studio.
After converting a spreadsheet to a survey form, any changes appear in the form preview. This preview is exactly how the survey will appear when it's downloaded in Survey123 Mobile. Examples include the following:
- All data validation rules, calculations, appearances, and prepopulated values
- Changes made in the Theme panel
To test how the form works on different screen sizes, select from the list of aspect ratios. Open the Information panel to see how long a form takes to load.
Data validation
After entering data into a form preview, click the Done button to apply any data validation rules and preview any custom messages. This includes calculations, constraints, and required fields. If the survey response is valid, the resulting window displays the instance name with applicable data values. To reset a survey to its state on load, click the Reload button.
