ArcGIS StreetMap Premium 2021 releases have the following improvements and enhancements:
StreetMap Premium data license file installation for ArcGIS Servers without ArcGIS Desktop
For ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 or later, install a data license file (.sdlic) by browsing to
<ArcGIS Server installation directory>\ArcGIS\Server\framework\runtime\ArcGIS\bin\DataLicInstall.exe.
Then type: datalicinstall.exe <pathname>\<SMP data license file>.
StreetMap Premium data license file rollover licensing
For all standard StreetMap Premium (.gdb file) releases starting in April 2021, the StreetMap Premium data license file (.sdlic) and naming convention for all StreetMap Premium regions is changing to a rollover licensing model. With this rollover .sdlic license file, a new .sdlic file will not be needed for every separate release of StreetMap Premium. The same .sdlic file can be used for multiple releases of the same region until the subscription expiration date noted at the end of the .sdlic license file name.
Note:
The rollover .sdlic license file is not backward compatible. To use versions of StreetMap Premium file geodatabase formats (.gdb files) prior to this change, it is necessary to use the older version of the license file specific to that release.
Classic locators deprecation
Starting the first quarter of 2021, the classic locators are being phased out and will no longer be included as part of ArcGIS StreetMap Premium. This will impact you if you use ArcMap, older versions of ArcGIS Enterprise, or have a custom workflow dependent on these locators. While Esri will continue to include the classic locators in the product until 2021, only the underlying data will be updated, and there will be no further enhancements to the locators. Note:
Locators created with the Create Address Locator (Geocoding toolbox) will not be supported after ArcGIS Runtime version 100.11. With the 100.12 release, only the locators created with the Create Locator (Geocoding toolbox) will be supported. The deprecated locator format is composed of the files .loc, .loc.xml, .locb, and .loz. The newer locator format is composed of the files .loc and .loz.
