Using quick print

The Quick Print tool quickly generates your redistricting plan to PDF for printing. When you use the Quick Print tool, the application prints your plan using the last print settings.

The Quick Print tool works in conjunction with the Print tool. By default, the Quick Print tool is disabled. Using the print option, set up the map elements, such as the north arrow and legend, to the desired format. Once the print format is defined, the Quick Print tool is enabled. This allows you to print multiple maps using the same print settings. The print settings are stored with the plan. Each subsequent time you access the plan, the Quick Print tool is enabled.

  1. Print a plan.

The print settings and format you have outlined are stored with your redistricting plan. The Quick Print tool is enabled on the File ribbon.

  2. On the File ribbon, click Quick Print.

The File Download dialog box appears.

  3. Select the appropriate option for the file:
    • Open allows you to open the PDF file without storing a local copy on your computer. Once opened, you can print the PDF file or save.
    • Save allows you to store a local copy of the plan on your computer.
    • Cancel allows you to exit the Quick Print tool.
