Locking and unlocking districts

Esri Redistricting has a locking feature. Locking prevents you from modifying geography assignments in locked districts. All districts by default are unlocked.

1. On the District Window click the desired locking option:
   • Place a check mark in the Lock column to lock the corresponding district. This prevents the selected district from being modified.
   • Uncheck the Lock column to unlock a district. This enables the district to accept geography assignments.
   • Click the Lock column title to lock or unlock all districts in the plan.
Alternately, you can lock or unlock districts from a context menu:
1. Right-click the district that you want to lock or unlock.
2. On the context menu, choose Lock District or Unlock District.
