Note:
You need the following account and license types to specify formatting options:
- Microsoft license—You need a Microsoft 365 license, role Contributor or higher, to specify Microsoft Power BI formatting options.
- ArcGIS account type—Standard users can perform the functions of this workflow; you do not need to sign in.
Microsoft Power BI format and style options allow you to update how a map is presented in a Power BI report.

Standard format and style options include the following:
- Text format—Set title, text, size, color, and alignment options.
- Background—Set a background color and transparency value.
- Lock aspect—Lock the aspect ratio so that the map's aspect ratio remains the same when the visualization is resized.
- General—Set the width and height of the visualization and its position on the report.
- Border—Specify a color and the corner radius for the visualization's border.
- Shadow—Specify the color and position of the visualization's drop shadow.
- Visual header—Specify various options for the visualization's header.
