You need the following account and license types to specify formatting options:

  • Microsoft license—You need a Microsoft 365 license, role Contributor or higher, to specify Microsoft Power BI formatting options.
  • ArcGIS account type—Standard users can perform the functions of this workflow; you do not need to sign in.

Microsoft Power BI format and style options allow you to update how a map is presented in a Power BI report.

  • Background—Set a background color and transparency value.
  • Lock aspect—Lock the aspect ratio so that the map's aspect ratio remains the same when the visualization is resized.
  • General—Set the width and height of the visualization and its position on the report.
  • Border—Specify a color and the corner radius for the visualization's border.
  • Shadow—Specify the color and position of the visualization's drop shadow.
  • Visual header—Specify various options for the visualization's header.
