Install Esri Maps for Salesforce

Install Esri Maps for Salesforce by following these instructions. See the System requirements for information on supported platforms and Internet browsers. The Install URL can be found on the ArcGIS Marketplace.

  1. Copy and paste the link provided into a supported browser.
  2. The Package Installation Details page appears. Click Continue.
  3. Approve third-party access to your Salesforce installation by checking the Yes, grant access to these third-party web sites check box. Click Continue.
The approve third-party access dialog box.
  4. Click Next on the Custom Package API Access page.
  5. Choose the security level for the Esri Maps package. The recommended setting is to grant access to admins only. Click Next.

After the installation is complete, we highly recommend you do the following:

  • Configure permissions for users so they can see and use Esri Maps.
  • Spatially enable your records by converting addresses to latitude/longitude coordinates. This process, called geocoding, consumes credits. If addresses aren't geocoded and stored upfront they will be re-geocoded (consuming credits unnecessarily) each time they are drawn on a map.
  • Make life simpler for your users by configuring default location types for common objects like accounts, leads, contacts, and opportunities.
