Data Explorer (beta) overview

The Data Explorer (beta) template applies AI-powered Natural Language GIS (NLGIS) technology to filter data out of your map through a chat interface, removing menus or the need for complex query syntax.

Get started

From the Data Explorer (beta) item details page, click Create a web app to start configuring an app with the template.

Note:

Your ArcGIS Online administrator must configure assistants before you can access Data Explorer (beta), including turning off the Block Esri apps and capabilities while they are in beta setting.

Guidelines

This app template's use of the natural language requires thorough metadata, including field descriptions and field data types. Configured web map layers must be vectorized for use with this template. This vectorization is part of the template configuration and must be done following any data or field description updates.

Credits

Using Data Explorer (beta) requires credits when performing spatial filtering.
