Release notes for ArcGIS GeoBIM October 2023

The updates below have been made in ArcGIS GeoBIM.

Enhancements and bug fixes

The following enhancements and bug fixes were made:

  • ArcGIS GeoBIM now has an notification that alerts you to log in to Autodesk to continue. The authorization window appears that redirects you to the Autodesk login page.
• Everyone (Public) was removed from the sharing options for ArcGIS GeoBIM apps. ArcGIS GeoBIM requires you to log in to an Autodesk account with access to an Autodesk Construction Cloud project. Autodesk Construction Cloud projects do not have a public sharing option that is compatible with ArcGIS GeoBIM.
  • The Create New Issue form has new Click to place issue on map and Cancel issue placement buttons. An issue cannot be placed on the map without prior selection of either of the two buttons in the form. This resolves a conflict with other widgets that allows you to place temporary graphic features on the map.
  • All ArcGIS GeoBIM project layers in the Layer widget display their simple names. Project layers from any other ArcGIS GeoBIM projects included in the map display with this format: Layername-Servicename.
  • Create New Issue widget now includes the Autodesk project name in addition to the document name in the Linked Document dropdown.
  • Revit models using a .prj file and a true north rotation (different from project north) now shows the document boundary correctly rotated to match the Revit true north value.
  • Building scene layers nested within a group layer now work correctly with the Building Explorer widget.
  • Create New Issue widget for Autodesk Construction Cloud projects now includes Draft status.
  • The Issues chart now displays no data instead of a loading icon when there are no issues in an ArcGIS GeoBIM app.
  • Link rules table no longer keeps loading when an invalid Viewer URL rule is created.
  • When you click the information button on an ArcGIS GeoBIM project to open an Autodesk Construction Cloud or Autodesk BIM 360 project, there is now a link on the project details panel that redirects you to log in to your Autodesk account if you are not logged in.

Known issues

The following are the known issues in this release:

  • Deselection and filtering in the Dashboard charts may apply the wrong filters, which displays incorrect issues on the map. You must refresh the page to reset the charts.
  • When you select multiple overlapping features, features are displayed as Untitled Feature # instead of the accurate feature name in the list of all features.
