The Explorer group includes layout controls that change the display of a widget and the layout of the sidebar to suit the current task.
Single Widget view
Single Widget view allows one widget to occupy the entire sidebar. This is useful when viewing multiple columns in the Table widget, or when the Charts and Details groups are expanded and horizontal screen space is limited. To switch to Single Widget view from Split view, click the Single View button at the lower left of the sidebar. Click the button again to switch back to Split view. Use the buttons at the upper left of the sidebar to select a widget to view in the sidebar.
Use Split view to change widgets
Split view allows two widgets to be displayed in the sidebar. This is useful on wide-screen displays or when performing tasks that involve two widgets at once (such as selecting features in the Table widget to view the documents in Link Explorer). To switch to Split view from Single Widget view, click the Split View button at the lower left of the sidebar. When in Split view, the widget shown on the right of the sidebar is fixed. Use the buttons in the upper left of the sidebar to select the widget to display on the left of the sidebar.
Complete the following steps to change the widget displayed on the left of the sidebar:
- Click the Swap button.
- Use the buttons on the upper left to choose a new widget to display.
- Click the Swap button.
