Esri provides many resources for gaining a good understanding of the products that make up the ArcGIS system, including Drone2Map. Whether it is a training course that teaches you how to use Drone2Map or a tutorial that focuses on a real-world application, these resources can be used to learn more about Drone2Map.
Create 2D Products with ArcGIS Drone2Map
In this tutorial, you'll assume the role of a drone operator who has just finished capturing imagery over a residential construction site by collecting aerial images. Your manager would like you to take these raw drone images and use them to calculate the volume of stockpile on site. To accomplish this task, you'll use ArcGIS Drone2Map to convert your raw drone imagery into a highly accurate True Ortho using ground control points and perform the required measurement. Additionally, you'll publish your imagery products to the web so they can be made accessible to others at your organization.
For more information about this tutorial, see Create 2D Products with ArcGIS Drone2Map.
Evaluate the accuracy of ground control points
In this tutorial, you'll assume the role of an employee for a property development company. You need to plan additional space for future growth that will be safe from hurricanes. A dataset with ground control points has already been collected for the area and you have been tasked with creating accurate imageyr products. During this tutorial, you will import ground control points, add image links, and adjust the imagery. After adjustment, you'll assess and improve the accuracy of the ground control points.
For more information about this tutorial, see Evaluate the accuracy of ground control points.
Update a catalog dataset
In this tutorial, you'll assume the role of an employee of Redlands construction company. The company is looking to monitor the construction progress of Building E on Esri's main campus. To manage the imagery from multiple drone flights in this one location, the company uses a catalog dataset. In this tutorial, you'll learn the fundamentals of catalog datasets by accessing one in ArcGIS Drone2Map and exploring its contents. Then, you'll process imagery from a drone flight and update the catalog dataset to include it.
