Once you finish configuring a dashboard, share it with its intended audience. If you don't share the dashboard, only you and organization members with privileges to view content owned by other members can access it. Along with other items in your organization, you can share dashboards publicly with everyone, with only the people in your organization, or with specific groups. There are multiple points from which you can share a dashboard, such as the Dashboards home page, the My Content tab of your organization, and the item details page of the dashboard. This topic explains how to update the share settings directly from the dashboard. For details about how to share a dashboard from your organization, see Share items.
Note:
When publicly sharing a dashboard that may be in high demand, follow the best practices for building highly scalable dashboards.
To share a dashboard, complete the following steps:
- Save the dashboard,
click the Menu button
in the upper corner, and click Dashboard item details.
The dashboard's item details page appears.
- On the Overview tab of the item page, next to Share, click the Edit button
.
- In the Share window, specify how you want to share the dashboard, and click Save. For details about the sharing settings, see Share items.
