Lots

Blocks can be divided into polygonal shapes called lots.

Start Rule Lot

When you select a lot shape within a block in ArcGIS CityEngine, it displays one of the following start rules:

Lot

Polygonal shape touching a street.

LotInner

Lots that reside within a block but do not touch a street.

LotCorner

Created when the corners of a lot are given a width when you set the Block Corner Length parameter on a block with recursive or offset subdivision.

In the Scene Editor window, lots are represented as shapes under Blocks:

Expanded Street Network
The Street Network is shown with Blocks expanded displaying Shapes (lots) in the Scene Editor window.

Object attributes

You can select a lot in the Viewport window and manage the object attributes in the Object Attributes section of the Inspector window:

Selected lot and array of street width object attributes

The following table describes the object attributes for lots:

shapeType

Specifies the type of lot: Lot, LotInner, or LotCorner.

streetWidth

Array containing the street widths for each edge of the lot. The first edge of a lot is the edge with maximal street width. The value is 0 when the edge is not adjacent to a street.
