A shape can be a polygon or a 3D model composed of multiple polygons. You can import shapes or create them manually using tools such as Polygonal Shape Creation or Rectangular Shape Creation. Use the Push Pull tool with the Guide Creation tool for precise 3D editing. Additional tools allow you to align shapes to terrains, cleanup shapes, or texture shapes.
You can use the following tools when working with shapes on the main toolbar:
Polygonal Shape Creation | Draw a polygon and switch between arcs and lines. |
Rectangular Shape Creation | |
Circular Shape Creation | Draw a circle and change how many sides it has. |
Push Pull | Use Push Pull tool to create volumes out of 2D shapes. |
Guide Creation | Use guides to draw parallel and with an offset to existing features. |
Texture Shapes | Manually texture shapes and individual faces. |
You can use the following additional shape options:
Crop Image | Use the Crop Image tool for preparation of facade textures, perspective correction, and region selection. |
Snapping | Snap to shapes, streets, or terrain. |
Force New Shape | Force a new shape to be created when drawing. |
Force Planar | Draw planar to create shapes on a horizontal plane. |
Automatic Closing | Close shapes automatically when drawing along the edges of connected shapes. |
Modify shapes | Modify shapes by splitting or combining them. |
