ArcGIS Business Analyst Enterprise 11.3 introduces enhancements to ArcGIS GeoEnrichment Server, ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App, and Business Analyst widget in Experience Builder.
Server-side feature in GeoEnrichment
In ArcGIS GeoEnrichment Server, there is a new service architecture for mapping workflows, replacing demographic feature services from previous versions. Rather than creating a set of hosted feature services during the data installation, map layers are now natively supported by GeoEnrichment server. This improves mapping performance, installs data faster, and reduces memory usage on the server.
Points of interest (POI) search is enhanced through semantic search. This means that when you search for something that is phrased differently than how the variable is named, it will still return results that are similar in meaning to the search term.
Business Analyst Web App
Business Analyst Web App has new features and capabilities, including the following:
- Redesigned smart map search workflow includes new industry-related variable lists, improved ways of setting your analysis extent, interactive results panel, and the ability to save analysis layers.
- Redesigned suitability analysis workflow includes new industry-related variable lists, improved ways of setting your analysis extent, advanced scoring and weighting options, an interactive Results pane, and the ability to save analysis layers.
- Redesigned guided tours provide improved guidance on how to use the app.
- Updated experience for adding web maps and layers minimizes clutter and aligns with Esri visual style.
- Improvements for building infographics, including the ability to preview layouts to view different options.
Business Analyst widget in Experience Builder
The Business Analyst widget in Experience Builder has new features and capabilities, including the following:
- New Search setting to turn the map search tool on and off.
- New Data source drop-down menu lists available data for the selected country or region. (Some countries and regions have multiple available data sources.)
- In Preset mode, you can customize the introductory text.
- In Workflow mode, improved navigation for infographic searching and the ability to set a default infographic.
- Custom theming using colors and fonts through the Theme tab in the builder.
