Install Business Analyst Web App

Available with Business Analyst license.

By installing Business Analyst Web App on the Portal for ArcGIS machine, you enable members of your organization to access the app through a web browser.

Set up and install Business Analyst Web App

The setup process installs the necessary files to your machine so members of your organization can access Business Analyst Web App through a web browser. The setup must be run on the machine with Portal for ArcGIS.

1. On the My Esri site, click Downloads and then click ArcGIS Enterprise 11.5 (Linux). Click Products and then click All Versions and search for Business Analyst.
2. Look for ArcGIS Business Analyst Enterprise and ensure the latest version is used. Click View Downloads.
3. Expand the details of the product components to see the descriptions.
4. On the setup for ArcGIS Business Analyst Web App, click Download.
5. Run the setup on the machine with Portal for ArcGIS to install Business Analyst Web App.

Install Business Analyst Web App

To install Business Analyst Web App, complete the following steps:

1. Browse to the directory where the BAWeb App tar file was uncompressed.
2. Run ./BAWebApp-Setup.sh.

Update redirect URIs

Add the redirect URIs for your domain as follows:

1. Sign into the portal administrator directory and navigate to the following link:

   https://PortalName.domain.com/WebAdaptor/portaladmin/security/oauth/updateAppInfo

2. Copy and paste the following JSON into the App Info section and edit the domain.com values for http and https to match your domain.

3. Click Update App.

Access Business Analyst Web App

Note:

Users must have a Publisher role with permissions to use the app. This is required to create projects and layers in Business Analyst Web App.

To access Business Analyst Web App, do the following:

1. Portal members who are licensed to use Business Analyst Web App can access it through the Apps button in the header of the portal website.
2. To access Business Analyst Web App, open the organization’s home page and browse to Gallery > My Organization > Featured Content > Filter by Apps > Web.

   The following button appears:

   

3. Click the Business Analyst Web App button to launch the app.

   

4. Sign in with a username that has been granted a license.

You can bookmark the app URL for easier access:

• https://<PortalName.domain.com>/WebAdaptor/apps/BA

Uninstall Business Analyst Web App

To uninstall Business Analyst Web App, complete the following steps:

1. Browse to ${HOME}/arcgis/portal/.
2. Run ./uninstall_BAWebApp.sh.
