Note:

ArcGIS Business Analyst Desktop is in mature support and follows the ArcGIS Desktop life cycle. There are no plans for future releases of ArcGIS Business Analyst Desktop, and it is recommended that you migrate to ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro. See Migrate to ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro for more information.

This installation guide is your resource for information on prerequisites, installation, and authorization of your software and data. For major releases, new complete software setups are provided through the My Esri web site, while updates are provided on the Esri Support Site.

Note:
As a customer of ArcGIS Business Analyst Desktop, you also get a license to access Business Analyst Web App. If you haven’t already done so, create an Esri Account user name and provide it to your customer service representative, so your subscription can be set up.

  • Business Analyst Background Geoprocessing (64-bit)—Adds 64-bit Background Geoprocessing capabilities to existing Business Analyst geoprocessing tools.
    Note:

    Background Geoprocessing (64-bit) is a separate installation. If you have a 64-bit machine and attempt a 32-bit Business Analyst install you will be prompted to install the 64-bit version.

Business Analyst 2023 U.S. Data—Business, consumer spending, demographic, and segmentation datasets bundled together to help you analyze markets, profile customers, evaluate competitors, and identify opportunities. This includes a nationwide street network from HERE, Esri Updated Demographic data for multiple levels of geography (block groups, census tracts, ZIP Codes, counties, and so on), an address geocoding service, almost 13 million business locations from Data Axle, and Esri's USA Tapestry segmentation data. The Tapestry segmentation data is included at the block group geography level. See Esri Data for more details on the data that is installed.
