The system requirements for running ArcGIS StoryMaps in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise are listed below.
Supported browsers
When using ArcGIS StoryMaps, use the latest version of one of these browsers:
- Apple Safari
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
Only WebGL-enabled browsers are supported, and the browser must support JavaScript and cookies.
ArcGIS StoryMaps in ArcGIS Online
If you are using ArcGIS StoryMaps through ArcGIS Online, an internet connection is required to access the story builder and to view published stories. A desktop, laptop, or tablet is required for authoring and editing stories in the story builder; the minimum supported resolution for the story builder is a display width of 960 pixels. Published stories can be viewed through a browser from any internet-connected device, including laptops, desktops, notebooks, tablets, and smartphones.

ArcGIS StoryMaps Briefings app
When using the ArcGIS StoryMaps Briefings app, use the latest version of the app available from the Apple, Android, or Windows app stores.
The minimum system requirements are iOS 14 version, Android 8.0 (API level 26), and Windows 10. If the ArcGIS StoryMaps Briefings app is failing to open on a supported Windows device, install the VC++ 2022 Redistributable runtime library.
