Add new curb regulations

Curb regulations are line segments composed of a curb zone feature and one or more related policy record. A curb zone is a contiguous region of curb space on a single block face that is regulated in a particular way. A policy is a rule that permits or prohibits a particular set of uses of a particular curb zone at a particular time or times. The curb regulations layer is used to visualize policies applied to curb zones by the activities permitted or prohibited. The Curb Regulation Data Management project uses feature templates to efficiently create curb zones and related policies.

To create curb regulations, follow the steps in the Add new curb regulations task.

Modify curb regulations

To maintain an accurate curb regulation inventory, you may need to modify the characteristics of existing regulations as new policies are implemented.

To update the attributes of a curb regulation's curb zone and related policies, follow the steps in the Modify curb regulations task.

Create curb zone polygons

The Curb Regulation Data Management project uses lines to efficiently create curb zones. In order to use curb zones with other systems or to visualize the entire curb zone, your organization may want to create curb zone polygons.

To create curb zone polygons, follow the steps in the Create curb zone polygons task.

Share curb regulations

Curb regulations can be shared with internal and external stakeholders with the Curb Regulation Viewer.
