Introduction to Adopt-A-Stop

Adopt-A-Stop can be used to operate stop adoption programs that allow volunteers to adopt transit stops and clean them for the community.

A transit ride begins and ends at a stop, and a rider’s overall experience includes not only the ride, but their time spent at transit stops. Adopt-A-Stop programs seek to improve this experience and reduce maintenance costs by leveraging individual volunteers and organizations to clean transit stops. Program volunteers are typically asked to inspect their stops, remove trash, and report graffiti or serious damage at regular intervals. This simple action has a big impact on rider satisfaction, safety around the stop and the quality of life in a neighborhood. Adopt-A-Stop is typically implemented by transit agencies that want to engage the community and maximize the capacity of operations staff.

The Adopt-A-Stop solution delivers a set of capabilities that help you engage volunteers to keep transit stops clean, manage participants, and monitor the performance of the adoption program.
