The Crime Analysis solution includes the CrimeAnalysis add-in for ArcGIS Pro and the Crime Analysis Desktop ArcGIS Pro project. Designed for daily use by crime analysts, the project includes task items with step-by-step guides for performing common crime analysis workflows. The solution also provides layout and report templates that can be used with the project. Before you use the project, you should familiarize yourself with its contents.
- Browse to the CrimeAnalysis folder that you downloaded in the Configure Crime Analysis topic.
The folder contains the Crime Analysis add-in for ArcGIS Pro (CrimeAnalysis.esriAddinX); Layouts and Reports sub-folders, which contain templates for use in ArcGIS Pro; the Crime Analysis Desktop project and its associated toolbox and default geodatabase; and Crime Analysis Solution Examples, a link to a downloadable ArcGIS Pro project that contains example data and maps.
- Open the Crime Analysis Desktop.aprx ArcGIS Pro project.
- In the Catalog pane, expand the Tasks folder.
Note:
If you do not see the Catalog pane, from the View tab, in the Windows group, click Catalog, and then click Catalog Pane.
The folder includes four task items: Analyze a crime series, Identify hot spots, Map and analyze cell phone records, and Perform administrative analysis. Each task item includes a series of analytical workflows.
- To begin, double-click a task item, and then in the Tasks pane, double-click a workflow to start it.
