The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) is currently only available in ArcGIS Online, and an ArcGIS Online organizational account is required to access it.
The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) to help users in several ways:
- Discover existing solutions for a specific industry or functionality.
- Learn more about a solution or set of solutions for a specific industry.
- Get answers about how to deploy, manage, configure, and use solutions.
The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) is trained exclusively on ArcGIS Solutions help documentation, as well as other Esri content, such as help topics, blog articles, tutorials, and knowledge base articles. Each response includes a drop-down menu of sources for further reading. All stored information is anonymized and is not linked to a specific user.
Get started
The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) is a conversational AI tool. For best results, use clear and simple language and iterate on responses. The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) does not retain previous conversations, but it will maintain your current session until you sign out or refresh the page.
Note:
Your ArcGIS Online administrator must configure assistants before you can access the ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta), including turning off the Block Esri apps and capabilities while they are in beta setting. You must also have the privilege to use AI assistants.
To get started with the ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta), complete the following steps:
- Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
- Click the Apps buttons
in the header of the site and click Solutions. - Click the Solutions tab, if necessary.
- Click the ArcGIS Solutions assistant button
at the bottom left corner to start using the assistant. - Write a clear and simple prompt in your preferred language.
If necessary, you can iterate on the responses you receive to find the information you are looking for.
- Optionally, click the New conversation button
to start a new conversation.
Credits
Using the ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) does not consume credits. However, the results displayed may recommend a solution that requires credits.
Feedback
To provide anonymous feedback about a specific response, click the thumbs up or thumbs down and complete the survey. This feedback may be used to guide future development of the ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta).
Security and privacy
The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) aligns with the following principals:
- Prompts are not used to train Esri or third-party AI models.
- Prompts are not used to improve any Esri or third-party product or service.
- Prompts are not stored or shared.
- Prompts are not used to improve the assistant for your own use.
Limitations and bias
The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) is currently only available in ArcGIS Online, and an ArcGIS Online organizational account is required to access it. Other account types, such as public accounts, are not currently supported.
Suggestions generated using AI can be misleading or inaccurate. To avoid potentially reinforcing any unintentional biases in the AI models use by the ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta), human judgement should be applied when interpreting and acting upon the assistant's outputs.
