The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) is a generative AI tool that helps you discover and develop solutions aligned with your business needs. It streamlines solution deployment, allowing you to focus on your organization’s unique requirements. You can use the assistant in several ways:
- Find one or more solutions that meet your business needs.
- Learn how to deploy, manage, configure, and use solutions.
- Build a solution that meets your needs.
To get started with the ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta), complete the following steps:
- Sign in to your ArcGIS organization.
- Click the Apps button
in the header of the site and click Solutions. - Click the ArcGIS Solutions assistant button
. - Write a clear and simple prompt in your preferred language.
The assistant supports various languages.
- As needed, iterate on responses to find the information that you are looking for.
- Optionally, click the New chat button
to clear the previous conversation and start a new one.
Security and privacy
The ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) aligns with the following principles:
- Prompts are not used to train Esri or third-party AI models.
- Prompts are not used to improve any Esri or third-party product or service.
- Prompts are not stored or shared unless you give explicit permission, such as when you provide feedback about the assistant.
- Prompts are not used to improve the assistant for your own use.
The assistant does not retain previous conversations, but it maintains your current session until you sign out or refresh the page.
Limitations and bias
Currently, the ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta) is only available in ArcGIS Online. To use it, you must sign in with an ArcGIS Online organizational account that includes the privilege to use AI assistants. Other account types, such as public accounts, are not currently supported. In addition, your ArcGIS Online administrator must configure AI assistants.
Suggestions generated using AI can be misleading or inaccurate. To avoid potentially reinforcing any unintentional biases in the AI models used by the ArcGIS Solutions assistant (beta), human judgement should be applied when interpreting and acting upon the assistant's outputs.
